Being Tampa senior photographers, we love using Sand Key Beach in Clearwater as a location. It has so much to offer. Recently, we were able to take advantage of both the park and the beach area of Sand Key with some fantastic results!
And Sarah did an amazing job! However, this session reminded us of a couple of things you should be mindful of before you choose what to wear for senior pictures.

We always recommend doing at least 1 outfit change during your session. Sarah chose 3 outfits. The white crop tank top and cropped palazzo pants with a subtle print were a fantastic choice for the park area of Sand Key.
It’s a comfortable, stylish, and flattering outfit – it ticks all the boxes!
Another great outfit choice was her blue off-the-shoulder top with a white miniskirt. The colors are great for both the park and beach and the blue is a nice color against the warmth of the sea oats and sand.
One thing to consider if you choose an off-the-shoulder top is tan lines. Make sure they aren’t showing. You can apply self-tanner to your tan lines 2-3 days before your session.
If you’re going barefoot or wearing sandals, make sure to get a mani/pedi for your session as well!
A simple white dress is a great option for the beach portion of your senior portrait session. Remember: we want to focus on you more than what you’re wearing.
So, the more simple options work best. Also, white works well because it doesn’t compete with the beautiful colors of the natural landscape of the beach.
Wear something you’re going to feel comfortable moving around in. We’ll have you walking, dancing, and just having a great time in general.
